Terms and Conditions
1. Pet Supplies and Equipment:
Clients are responsible for providing all necessary pet supplies and equipment, including but not limited to food, medication, litter, cleaning tools, toys, harnesses, and leads. We do not supply any equipment required for the care of your pets.
2. Veterinary Care:
The pet owner assumes responsibility for any veterinary bills incurred during the service period. Prior to the booking, an emergency care plan will be discussed. Our employees will make every effort to minimize the need for medical care, and in the event of an emergency, if we are unable to contact you or a designated emergency contact and deem medical care necessary, Breahna’s Pet Care may authorize veterinary care on your behalf.
3. Dog Walking Specifics:
While our default practice is to walk dogs on a leash, clients may request and agree to off-lead dog walking in writing. In such cases, clients assume full responsibility for any risks, incidents, or consequences that may arise during off-lead walks. Clients are required to provide a properly fitted harness or collar and leash for their dog. Breahna’s Pet Care is not responsible for any issues, incidents, or consequences that may occur during off-lead walks, and clients are solely accountable for their dog’s behaviour and actions.
4. Aggressive or Unpredictable Pets:
Clients are required to inform Breahna’s Pet Care in advance if their pets have a history of aggression or unpredictability. Breahna’s Pet Care reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a pet poses a danger to the safety of our employees or others.
5. Service Timeframes:
Services will be scheduled within an agreed-upon window of time rather than at a specific start time. While efforts will be made to commence services within the agreed-upon time window, please note that services may extend beyond this timeframe. If a specific start time is crucial, Breahna’s Pet Care will collaborate with the client to accommodate such requests to the best of our ability. However, start times outside our regular windows may incur additional charges.
6. Visits and Timeframes:
The duration of each service and arrival time will be as agreed upon between Breahna’s Pet Care and the client. While efforts will be made to adhere to the scheduled timeframe, variations may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. In the case of any significant deviations from the agreed schedule, we will promptly communicate with you to discuss alternative arrangements for the care of your pet/s. Any additional time required due to unforeseen circumstances or at the client’s request will be subject to additional charges, as communicated and agreed upon beforehand.
7. Communication During Services:
Clients will provide accurate contact information and will be reachable during the service period or provide an emergency contact who will be reachable during the service period. Breahna’s Pet Care may send updates or contact the client to address any concerns or issues that may arise during the pet care visit.
8. Emergency Contact Information:
Clients will provide accurate and up-to-date emergency contact information, including an alternate contact in case the primary contact cannot be reached during an emergency.
9. Access to Client’s Home:
Clients agree to provide necessary access to their residence during the agreed-upon service hours. Any specific entry instructions or security measures should be communicated to Breahna’s Pet Care prior to the commencement of services. Any changes to entry instructions should be reported to Breahna’s Pet Care in a timely manner.
10. Key Handling:
If a key is provided for access to the client’s home, the client understands that Breahna’s Pet Care will handle the key securely. The key will be returned to the client upon the completion of services or as otherwise agreed.
11. Home Security:
Breahna’s Pet Care will take reasonable precautions to ensure the security of the client’s home during visits. However, we cannot be held liable for any security issues that may arise during or after the service period.
12. Third-Party Access:
Clients agree to disclose to Breahna’s Pet Care any person or third party who may have access to the client’s home during scheduled service times. Breahna’s Pet Care cannot take responsibility for any accidents, damages, or security issues that may arise due to the presence or actions of another person accessing the home during the agreed-upon service hours. Clients are responsible for ensuring that any third parties entering the premises during service times are aware of the ongoing pet care services and adhere to any specific instructions provided.
13. Open Doors and Windows:
Clients acknowledge that open doors and windows during scheduled service times are at their own risk. Breahna’s Pet Care will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and security of the pet(s) in the home. In the event that a pet runs away or goes missing due to open doors or windows, Breahna’s Pet Care will take all reasonable steps to locate and care for the pet. However, Breahna’s Pet Care cannot be held responsible for any adverse events or outcomes resulting from the pet’s escape or disappearance.
14. Booking Requests and Availability:
Breahna’s Pet Care will make every effort to accommodate all booking requests. However, availability cannot be guaranteed. Clients are encouraged to submit booking requests well in advance to increase the likelihood of securing desired services. In the event that Breahna’s Pet Care is unable to fulfil a booking request, alternative arrangements or recommendations may be provided.
15. Breahna’s Pet Care Cancellation:
In the rare circumstance that Breahna’s Pet Care needs to cancel a booking, clients will be notified as soon as possible, and efforts will be made to arrange suitable alternative care. If alternative arrangements cannot be made, a full refund will be provided for the affected services.
16. Payment Terms:
Full payment for all services must be made via stripe before the commencement of the booking. Pet sitting services will only commence once payment has been received.
17. Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the booking commencement date will be eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the booking commencement date will be elligible for an 80% refund.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking commencement date will be eligible for a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made within an hour of the earliest agreed upon booking commencement time will not be eligible for any refund.
